Disability Access and Inclusion Planning (DAIP's)

We partner with Councils, community organisations, government agencies and purpose-led businesses to strengthen access, inclusion and participation for people with disability.

Working closely with our clients, we bring together lived experience, complex policy and legislative environments, and resourcing considerations to design practical, place-based responses that improve everyday access to services, spaces and opportunities. Our focus is on creating inclusion that is meaningful, measurable and embedded into how organisations operate (not treated as a standalone compliance exercise).

We develop Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs) on behalf of our clients, taking ownership of the process and establishing the guiding direction and strategic scaffolding that enables local action and meets legislative requirements.

Our work goes beyond producing a compliant document. We design DAIPs as organisation-wide planning tools that align with broader corporate, community, service and operational planning frameworks. This ensures access and inclusion is embedded into decision-making, resource allocation and service delivery, rather than sitting siloed or treated as an add-on.

By translating legislation, policy intent and lived experience into clear priorities, actions and performance measures, we equip Councils and organisations with DAIPs that are actionable, measurable and built to endure.

 We design and lead inclusive co-design and consultation processes that centre lived experience and generate insight that can be confidently acted on.

Our engagement approaches are purposeful, proportionate and accessible, ensuring people with disability, carers and advocates can meaningfully contribute to shaping policies, programs, services and places. We support the full engagement lifecycle, including process design, accessible engagement tools, participant recruitment, facilitation, and synthesis of findings.

Importantly, we design engagement with implementation in mind. Community input is clearly linked to priorities, actions and decisions, ensuring participation is transparent, respectful and genuinely influential.

 We support the transition from strategy to delivery by embedding implementation, monitoring and reporting frameworks that enable accountability and continuous improvement.

As expectations on Councils and public-sector organisations continue to increase, there is a stronger mandate to demonstrate how access and inclusion initiatives are being delivered, what outcomes are being achieved, and how progress is being reported within the wider planning ecosystem.
